The invar plate alloy available at Sandmeyer Steel Company, SSC Invar 36, is an austenitic nickel-iron alloy containing 36% nickel. The solid fabrication characteristics and low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) make SSC Invar 36 the ideal alloy for industrial applications where high dimensional stability is required, such as precision instrumentation and aerospace composite tooling.
