Sandmeyer Steel Company Fills Two Sales Positions

Philadelphia, PA – February 4, 2008

Sandmeyer Steel Company is pleased to announce that Stephen M. Mellor will assume the position of Inside Sales Representative at its Philadelphia headquarters.  He replaces James C. Hewins who has been promoted to the position of Assistant to the General Manager – Sales and Marketing.  Mellor has 31 years of service with Sandmeyer Steel Company, most of them at the plant supervisory level.

James Hewins, who has been with the Company for 27 years, was designated as the successor to the retiring Michael A. Gallagher in 2006, and has been training with him since that time.  Gallagher joined the Company in 1972.

Sandmeyer Steel Company was founded in 1952 by the late Paul C. Sandmeyer.  Family owned and managed, the Company is recognized as a leading producer of stainless steel and nickel alloy plate products used in capital equipment for chemical and other industries.  The Company services customers throughout the world.
