Loretta Wysocki Retires From Sandmeyer Steel Company After 46 Years of Service

Philadelphia, PA – January 27, 2010

Loretta B. Wysocki will retire from Sandmeyer Steel Company after 46 years of service. She joined the Company on April 14, 1964, as a Clerk Typist for the Sales Department and then advanced the following year to Executive Assistant to the Vice President - Sales. Late in 1966, she transferred to Sandmeyer Steel’s Production Department as a Clerical Supervisor.

Loretta received an Associate's degree from St. Joseph's College (now St. Joseph's University), Philadelphia, and then graduated in 1972 with a BS in Business Administration. In 1973, she was promoted to the position of Inside Sales Representative. She has spent the balance of her career in Inside Sales working with several different regional sales managers and hundreds of loyal customers.

Loretta has been an active member of the Association of Women in the Metal Industries (AWMI) since 1987. She is a member of the Philadelphia Chapter, currently serving as International Mentoring Chair. In addition, she has served in a number of other positions including the Chapter Presidency, Regional Secretary for the Northeast Region, Northeast Regional Director, and International Secretary, a capacity she served in for six years. She has also served on a number of committees including the Scholarship, Bylaws, Programs, and Mentoring Committees.

Loretta was recognized as the AWMI International Member of the Year for 2002. She plans to continue her involvement with AWMI after she retires.

Sandmeyer Steel Company was founded in 1952 by the late Paul C. Sandmeyer. Family owned and managed, the Company is recognized as a leading producer of stainless steel and nickel alloy plate products used in capital equipment for the chemical and other process industries. The Company services customers throughout the world.
