Sandmeyer Steel Company Hires New
Human Resources Director
Philadelphia, PA – October 2, 2006
Sandmeyer Steel Company announced that
Michelle R. Brown has joined the Company’s Management
Team as their new Human Resources Director. She replaces
F. Buckley Pope, III, who will retire at the end of
the year after 13 years of service.
“Michelle is a seasoned human resources
professional who brings over 20 years of experience
with her,” said Ronald P. Sandmeyer, Jr., President
and Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Ms. Brown
has served as Employee Relations Manager with J.P Morgan
Chase (JPMC) in Delaware. Prior to joining JPMC, she
was Human Resources Director with a division of General
Electric Company, Advanced Services, Inc., in Virginia.
Michelle earned her Bachelor of Science
in Business Administration from Norfolk State University
in Virginia. She has also earned certification as a
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the Human
Resource Certification Institute and is an active member
of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

1952 by the late Paul C. Sandmeyer. Family owned and

of stainless steel and nickel alloy plate products used
in processing equipment for the chemical and petrochemical,
