Sandmeyer Steel Company Offers Complete
Family of Duplex Stainless Steels
Philadelphia, PA – March 24, 2003
Sandmeyer Steel Company has added two
new duplex grades to complement its existing inventory
of 2205 duplex plate. The new stock of LDX 2101 and 2304 "lean
duplex" and 2507 "super duplex" allows
Sandmeyer Steel to service their existing customer base
as well as enter new markets with an even wider range
of Value Added Plate Products.
"Strengthening our duplex stainless
steel inventory enables Sandmeyer to offer unique material
solutions at the lowest possible total installed and
life cycle costs. We believe that duplex stainless steels
will continue to grow in the North American market,"
states Sandmeyer Steel Company's Vice President - Sales
and Marketing.
Sandmeyer Steel's duplex inventory will
provide customers with higher strength and good corrosion
resistance properties that also offer more stabilized
pricing than the equivalent austenitic stainless steels.
Sandmeyer will stock LDX 2101, 2304 and 2507 in plate thicknesses
from 3/16" to 2", while 2205 will continue
to be stocked from 3/16" to 3" in thickness.
