Sandmeyer Steel Company Appoints Sales Representative in Mexico
Philadelphia, PA – April 27, 2009
Sandmeyer Steel Company has announced
the appointment of Internacional de Metales Comerciales
S.A. de C.V. (Intermetco) as the Company's Representative
Office and Sales Support Center in Mexico. Intermetco,
with a facility in Monterrey, Mexico, will assist Sandmeyer
Steel in penetrating the Mexican market for stainless
steel and nickel alloy plate products.
Intermetco Sales Manager, Raúl Castañeda, and John Curley,
Sandmeyer Steel's General Manager - Sales and Marketing,
finalized the agreement during Castañeda's recent visit
to Philadelphia.
Sandmeyer Steel Company was founded in 1952 by the late
Paul C. Sandmeyer. Family owned and managed for three
generations, the Company is recognized as a leading
producer of stainless steel and nickel alloy plate products
used in the chemical and other process equipment markets.
Intermetco was founded in 1993 to support the power
generation, construction, and chemical/petrochemical
process markets. They market special and customized
steel products including stainless steel structurals
and pipe products. Intermetco has been pursuing international
trading opportunities between Mexico and the rest of
the world, providing sales and marketing services, import/export
logistics, and after-sale support.
