Sandmeyer Steel Company Signs Agreement with New Manufacturer's Representative for Florida

Philadelphia, PA – May 17, 2004

Sandmeyer Steel Company is pleased to announce that Larry Walton, through his company, Metal Associates, will rejoin Sandmeyer Steel Company on June 1, 2004, as an independent manufacturer's representative, providing sales coverage in the state of Florida. Walton previously represented Sandmeyer Steel in the Southeast for many years prior to a restructuring of their Sales Department in the early 1990's.

Walton's role will be to develop opportunities within Florida mainly in the chemical, water treatment, and power generation markets. His product knowledge, extensive sales experience, and familiarity with the Floridian territory make him the ideal choice to pursue this growth. In addition, he has established relationships with distribution and end users in this market.

Sandmeyer Steel Company was founded in 1952 by the late Paul C. Sandmeyer. Family owned and managed, the Company is recognized as a leading producer of stainless steel plate and nickel alloy plate products used in processing equipment for the chemical, wastewater treatment, pulp and paper, energy, food and beverage, and high vacuum industries.
