Some of Sandmeyer Steel Company's value
added processes include:
Plasma
Cutting is computer-controlled and is one of
the most effective, cost-efficient manufacturing processes
available. When performed underwater, plasma cutting
for stainless steel plate results in a minimized heat-affected
zone which provides better machinability.
Abrasive
Waterjet Cutting, for stainless steel plate,
uses ball drive system technology to fabricate near
net-shapes and intricate parts that meet exact specifications
and extremely tight tolerances. Sandmeyer Steel Company
provides a customized water table for cutting sizes
as wide as 13 feet, as thick as 6-1/2 inches, and as
heavy as 20,000 pounds.
Machincut
by Sandmeyer Steel Company offers several benefits over
plasma cutting. These benefits include tighter tolerances,
smoother edges, better concentricity, and an overall
improvement in aesthetic appearance. Machincut for stainless
steel plate allows us to offer some of the most competitive
prices in the industry
Saw Cutting
for stainless steel plate comprises friction saw cutting
as well as band saw cutting. Friction saw cutting for
stainless steel plate produces a square edge with no
burr and is good for meeting tolerances within +/-1/16".
Band saw cutting is most commonly used to cut bars from
stainless steel plate.
