Another Quickmill Annihilator® Story

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service 2021

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is,
What are you doing for others?”
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Normally, SANDMEYER SERVES would have participated in our annual Day of Service on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 18, 2021.  However, “in-person” volunteer opportunities have been put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Instead, SANDMEYER SERVES is holding an “in-house” donation opportunity to help those families in need in our community from January 18th to 22nd.  We asked our employees for donations of non-perishable food and health care items which will then be delivered to Feast of Justice for distribution to families in need.

Feast of Justice is a non-profit organization dedicated to ending poverty in the Philadelphia area as well as offering other services to help the people of our community.  They provide assistance to over 600 households annually.  To learn more, visit www.FeastOfJustice.com.

Net Promoter Score for 2020 Is Higher Than Last Year’s Score!

To measure customer customer satisfaction, we use a survey called “Net Promoter Score” (NPS), which asks how likely our customers are to recommend us.

Our latest score was 75, which is considered “Excellent” and puts us in great company with others who provide outstanding customer service in industries worldwide.

We also ask our customers, “What does Sandmeyer Steel do truly well?” Here are some quotes from our happy customers:

“Sandmeyer inventory has always been of the highest caliber with never an issue. The sales team is very intent on returning customer inquiries and being accessible to the customer. Any issue has always been handled directly with the knowledge that time is critical to their clients.”

“Maintains a robust inventory of exotic materials and works with clients to provide reasonable cut-to-size options when economical. MTRs, shipping docs, and tracking numbers are issued upon shipment as a standard, no need to call and request.”

“Everything. Quality product, quality service, and — most of all — quality people! Definitely consider Sandmeyer a partner as opposed to a vendor.”

“Sandmeyer leads the way with customer service, quality, pricing, and delivery. Our longstanding relationship shows that they do everything well.”

QUICKMILL ANNIHILATOR® MACHINED ALL OVER DRILLED TUBESHEET REQUIREMENT

Sandmeyer Steel Company provided four finished machined all over and drilled tube sheets on our Quickmill Annihilator® Machining Center for one of our customers.  We utilized our extensive heavy plate inventory, and then our skilled machine operators processed all four 5.000” (+.030/-.000) thick x 49.500” (+/-.030) diameters from 5-1/4” 316LEZ Stainless Steel stock.

This material was our E-Z Drill material in 316LEZ Stainless Steel allowing us to optimize our speeds and feeds while extending insert tool life.  Sandmeyer plasma cut the blanks, machined the OD, and machined both faces, each side with a raised face.

Our Quickmill Annihilator® Machining Center drilled over 1030 tube holes 0.758” diameter to a critical tolerance of +/-.002”.  Finally, after drilling thirty 1.500 diameter bolt holes, Sandmeyer added a milled linear groove across one face through the center of the tube hole pattern. Providing you with solutions and one-stop shopping for your tough Stainless Steel, Nickel Alloy, and Titanium plate and plate products needs is what we do.
