Flatness Tolerances:

• Half Commercial Flatness Standard: We achieve flatness that meets half the commercial flatness tolerance, providing an extra level of precision essential for applications requiring consistent flat surfaces.

Detailed Flatness Guidelines:

• Flatness for Lengths and Dimensions: Tolerances are applicable for any plate length up to 36″ (914 mm) and to any 36″ within longer lengths. Measurements are taken with the plate resting flat, concave side up.
• Plates Under 36″ in Length: For these dimensions, tolerance does not exceed ¼” (6.4 mm).
• Plates with Minimum Yield Strengths Above 35 ksi (240 MPa): For these high-strength plates, permitted variations are increased to 1.5 times the standard tolerances, accommodating material properties.
