The chemical and petrochemical process industries use a wide range of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and nickel alloy plate products. The equipment is exposed to highly corrosive environments, high pressures, and high temperatures for the construction of pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, piping systems, flanges, fittings, valves, and pumps.
Chemical and petrochemical processing plants are often downstream operations of petroleum refineries that convert petroleum feedstocks into petrochemicals.
