Sandmeyer Steel Company is a proud supplier of all the major branches of the United States military.

The details of our participation in aerospace applications are covered in detail in the Aerospace Industry Served section of the website. 303, 304, 304L, 316 and 316L are used in mildly corrosive service. 309S, 310S and 321 are used extensively in aircraft exhaust systems, while 17-4PH finds extensive use in structural components.

Because of its low coefficient of thermal expansion, Invar 36 is the alloy of choice for aerospace composite tooling and dies. Stainless steel plate grades 303, 310S and nickel alloy 625 have been used in space and missile systems.

Our alloys such as 304, 316L,17-4PH and 2205 are used in the manufacture of military vehicle cabs, armor and shock absorbers, missile fire control systems and tanks.

Naval applications are also discussed in the Shipbuilding Industry Served. Stainless plate grades such as 304, 316L, 2205 and 17-4PH along with nickel alloys 400, 400 As Rolled & Descaled, 625 and C276 are used both in new ship construction and shipyard repair and refurbish.

In order to participate in these demanding markets, Sandmeyer Steel Company has implemented and maintained numerous military quality programs including MIL-I-45208A, MIL-I-C45662A, QQ-S, QQ-N and we are an EB 2678 Approved Level I Supplier.
