303, 304L/304, 309S/309H/309, 316L/316, 316L/316 E-Z Drill, 347H/347, 410, and 17-4PH are all utilized in the manufacture of auto tooling, gears, sprockets, stampings, power transmissions, and other auto components.

Truck tank trailers and manways are usually built from 316L/316, 317L/317, and duplex LDX-2101®, and 2205.

17-4PH is used in the manufacture of military armored vehicles and shock absorbers.

Alloys 316L/316, 317L/317, LDX-2101®, and 2205 find extensive use in the construction of railroad tanks cars and manways. 304L/304 and 316L/316 can be found in tank car valves. 410 is often used in manufacturing railroad coal cars.
