Holiday Schedule
Sandmeyer is celebrating the 2017 Holiday season with our traditional Christmas lunch, pageant, and distribution of turkey baskets on Friday.
After that, we will be closed from Monday, December 25th, through Monday, January 1st.
During this time, our production department will be closed with the exception of 24-hour emergency service, and sales representatives will be available to provide quotations, take orders, and confirm shipping requirements.
We will be open for normal business on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2018.
We thank our loyal customers for their business this year, and wish you a Happy Holiday Season.

Here is a recent job made of Alloy 304, 1/2″ thick. We cut to the customers exact specifications to create these large, intricate shapes. It was delivered to our customer who is a designer and manufacturer of custom expansion joints.

This week Sandmeyer will be displaying at the Stainless Steel World Conference & Exhibition, the foremost gathering of the global stainless steel community. The conference takes place from November 28th through November 30th, 2017, in Maastricht, Netherlands.

Holiday Shut Down
Sandmeyer will shut down for 4 days over the Thanksgiving holiday, with 24 hour emergency service still available.
To celebrate, we hosted an employee lunch and distributed the traditional “turkey baskets.”
We will resume regular operations Monday, 11/27. Have a great holiday!

Sandmeyer is now drilling tube sheets with our QuickMill Annihilator. This order for a processing equipment manufacturer included 4 tube sheets made of 316L. They were machined all over with an OD bevel prep to 36-3/16” OD – 1-1-4” thick, with (97) 2.381 diameter holes that have a 64 finish and a tolerance of +/-.002. Holes were drilled and milled to size and tolerance on the Annihilator to quickly meet our customer’s timeline.

Employee Recognition Day was held at Sandmeyer Steel on November 3rd, 2017. After a company-wide catered lunch, awards were handed out for 2 through 40 years of service with the company. Later that evening, a Recognition Day dinner was held at The Union League Golf Club at Torresdale for retirees and employees reaching 25 years of service.

Here is some new footage of our Quickmill Annihilator Machine in action, drilling a series of holes at high speed. The new machine can handle stacked drilling through 8.0″ (203.2mm). With the expansion of its processing capabilities, Sandmeyer bolsters its ability to deliver near-net shapes in hard-to-find grades.

To add to our collection of special cut shapes, here is photo of a recent job of 2 pieces of 1 1/2″ thick 304 cut to our customer’s provided specifications. Due to our vast on-site inventory and processing capabilities, we are able to deliver orders like this faster than our typical competitors’ timeline.

As part of our “Sandmeyer Serves” program of volunteer activity, employees recently donated their time to local organization Cathedral Kitchen in Camden, NJ.
Cathedral Kitchen serves nutritious meals for impoverished residents of Camden, and served 100,000 meals in 2016 alone. On Saturday, the Sandmeyer team prepped and served plates, wrapped food to-go, and assisted in cleanup.
