At Sandmeyer Steel Company, we have always taken pride in our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. Recently, this commitment was recognized by the GMA Garnet Group, who honored us with an award for our active participation in their Garnet Return Program.

The award, symbolizing our efforts towards a more sustainable future, was presented by Grant Cox, CEO of GMA, to our own Ron Sandmeyer, Jr., President and CEO of Sandmeyer Steel Company. Joining the momentous occasion were Rod Liebeck, President of GMA Americas, Chris Duffy, Office and Purchasing Manager at Sandmeyer Steel Company, and Carl Borgh, GMA’s Regional Sales Manager for Northeast USA.

The Garnet Return Program is one of many ways we are reducing our environmental impact by recycling and reusing garnet materials, which plays a critical role in minimizing waste and promoting responsible manufacturing practices. This recognition represents just one milestone in our ongoing journey toward sustainability and a greener future for the steel industry.
